私たちは、生かされている
自然との調和を感じながら表現し続けるアーティスト・ユキコ。
人々の暮らしが便利になる一方、時に生きにくさを感じるというユキコが今回出展するのは、「漆」を使った作品です。
日本の伝統的な食器などに用いられる漆は、木を傷つけ、生命反応として染み出る乳白色の樹液をもとにした塗料です。
ユキコはこれらの作品を通して「私たちは自然に生かされているのだ」というメッセージを届けます。
現代を生きる私たちがつい忘れがちなこの感覚を、思いやりと優しさを込めて。
ユキコ プロフィール
表現者。「愛と平和」をテーマにした作品を発表している。技法にとらわれることなく、自然との調和を意識し、
感じたままを木や和紙をはじめとする素材の特性とコラボレーションしながら表現。作品を通し、すべての命は尊く、
ワンネス(同一の存在)であることを伝えたいと願っている。大学でテキスタイルや染織を学び、卒業後は
空間プロデュースやスタイリストとして活動。「産経国際新春書道展」入賞(2017、2018)、
ドバイでの「World Art Dubai」(2019~2021)やフランス・パリでの
「Salon Art Shopping Paris」(2019,2021)など、海外への出展も多い。
We Are Kept Alive
Artist YUKIKO expresses herself with a sense of harmony with nature. Believing that our lives have
become more and more convenient yet hard at times, YUKIKO will be exhibiting her work using
“urushi”, a type of lacquer paint for traditional Japanese tableware that is made from the milky white
sap that seeps out of wood as a biological reaction to the damage done to it. Through her art, YUKIKO
delivers the message that “we are kept alive by nature”. This feeling, which we tend to forget in our
modern life, is expressed with compassion and gentleness.
Profile
As an expressionist, she presents her art on the theme of “love and peace”. Without being restricted
by technique, she expresses what she feels by incorporating the characteristics of materials such as
wood and Japanese paper with an awareness of harmony with nature. Through her works, she hopes
to convey the message that all life is precious and of oneness. Studying textiles as well as dyeing and
weaving at university, she worked as a space producer and stylist after graduation. Her works are
exhibited abroad, including at the Sankei International New Year Calligraphy Exhibition (2017, 2018),
World Art Dubai (2019-2021) in Dubai, and Salon Art Shopping Paris (2019, 2021) in Paris.
